Bucket bath
From Janapar
If you decide to spend the night at a homestay and bathe there, you will no doubt experience a good old fashioned bucket bath.
Taking a bucket bath involves heating up a bucket of hot water, and often mixing it with cold water at the time of bathing in order to cool it off and make it last longer. Most villagers in Karabakh do not have showers or even bath tubs, so this is the preferred method of bathing. Usually one bucket can be stretched to bath your entire body. Wet your hair and shampoo it, then rinse it off onto your body as you scrub and clean it off too... Unless the house has an appropriate indoor space for a bucket bath, this process can be done outdoors in good weather, as you wear a bathing suit.
By the end of the trail, you'll either be a pro, stink, or have discovered every swimming hole/creek from one end of Karabakh to the other!
